Organised by MultiChoice, the AMVCAs remain one of the continent\u2019s biggest platforms for recognising outstanding storytelling and creative excellence across Africa. The 12th edition of the AMVCAs is scheduled to hold in <strong>May 2026 in Lagos, Nigeria<\/strong>. The organisers had earlier announced the appointment of veteran actress <strong>Joke Silva<\/strong> as Head Judge, succeeding <strong>Femi Odugbemi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This year\u2019s edition will feature a total of <strong>32 award categories<\/strong>, including <strong>18 jury-voted awards<\/strong>, <strong>11 audience-voted categories<\/strong>, and <strong>three special recognition honours<\/strong>, such as the <strong>Lifetime Achievement Award<\/strong> and the <strong>Trailblazer Award<\/strong>.
